Academic Pathways

Academic Pathways is an advising program aimed at helping students transition from exit level foundations courses to correlated college-level courses from one semester to the next. Title V has put together a team of faculty, advisors and academic coaches to go out into each of the exit-level Foundations Math, English & Reading courses to conduct in-class advising sessions. The advising that takes place within the classroom covers general information that is useful to all students, individual advising sessions are also encouraged for students with specific questions. Throughout the semester there are three in-class advising sessions that focus on issues that are pertinent to that time of year. An initial session within the first month of classes, a mid-semester session that is geared toward G.P.A & mid-semester stressors, and finally a session that covers the importance of pre-advising and registration.

The Title V Grant Program is 100% federally funded by the Department of Education ($2,720,931).
