Academic Transfer

No matter what your academic plans are, The Victoria College is the place to start. All academic credit courses at VC are transferable to any state university and to many private colleges as well. Many Victoria area students who began at VC have gone on to successful careers as doctors, lawyers, physicians assistants, psychologists, biologists, engineers, computer scientists, accountants, chiropractors, managers and almost any other career imaginable.

The VC catalog provides suggested transfer plans for many programs of study.

Develop Your Own Transfer Plan

• If you know which degree and university you intend to transfer into – consult with an advisor at that school to determine which VC classes are the best choice for your degree plan
• If you know your field of study but not your transfer school – consult with a VC faculty advisor to select courses in your major that will be most beneficial to you.
• If you aren’t sure of your major or your transfer school – consult with a VC counselor to select courses most likely to fit your future needs.

Problems with credit transfers are rare, however if you encounter difficulties with the receiving university you should contact a VC counselor for assistance. Be sure to retain the syllabi from the VC courses you take – sometimes that is all that is necessary to prove that a course is equivalent.
