Art exhibit to feature VC instructor’s ceramics, paintings, prints and sculptures

“What’s Past is Prologue: Memories, Fables, Found and Shaped Things,” an exhibit featuring the work of Trent Thigpen, opens Thursday, March 5 and will run through Friday, March 27 in the art gallery in Victoria College’s Fine Arts Building. The exhibit, which is free and open to the public, will be available for viewing from noon-5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday. Victoria College will be closed March 7-15 for Spring Break.

Thigpen, a VC Computer Information Systems instructor, will display mixed media composed of ceramics, oil paintings, prints, sculptures, and several pieces made from fire ants in the exhibit.

The public is also invited to meet Thigpen during an opening reception from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, March 5 in the art gallery.
