Why CAPE Matters

The Betsy Wright Center for Academic & Professional Excellence officially opened its door on August 19, 2013.

The mission of the CAPE is to cultivate excellence in learning and support services by providing faculty and staff with development opportunities and supports that foster student success.

To achieve our mission, we envision CAPE offering quality learning opportunities that engage our community in creating innovative teaching and learning habits grounded in research.

CAPE specialists are trained in areas such as instructional technology, web and electronic instructional material (EIM) accessibility, and curriculum and instructional design. We offer group workshops and programs, one-on-one consultations, and support for faculty and staff. All workshop and events are advertised as they are developed and become available.
