Notice: TASP Law Repeal/Assessment Requirements
In June, 2003, the 78th Texas Legislature made considerable changes to TASP law. In effect, TASP was repealed and replaced with an assessment program called "Success Initiative". Although this new program will have many similarities to TASP, specific regulations from Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board have not yet been issued. The TASP will still be used as an assessment instrument, but will have a new name - THEA (Texas Higher Education Assessment). The local assessment test referred to as TASP Alternative will be used as well.
For the Fall 2003 Semester, Victoria College will Operate Under TASP Law.
The Success Initiative program will be effective with the Spring 2004 semester. As information becomes available, it will be accessible on the Victoria College website.
