The following courses and programs award continuing education units (CEU) in lieu of semester credit hours (SCH). In selected courses students may choose to receive continuing education units (CEU) or semester credit hours (SCH).

Students can register and pay online though the Pirate Portal, in person in the Workforce and Continuing Education Department, or via mail by filling out the registration form and submitting with payment. To view more Workforce & Continuing Education courses, see the current schedule.

Legislation has recently been passed requiring all Texas Colleges and Universities to make Bacterial Meningitis Information available to students. Please read it carefully.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support Recertification (ACLS)

Prerequisites: Current ACLS card
A 7-hour course including lecture, discussion and skill stations designed to review and update knowledge and skills of the ACLS provider.

CPR Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (Recertification) 

Prerequisites: Current American Heart Association (AHA), Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider (HCP) or American Red Cross (ARC) Professional Rescuer card.
A 7-hour course designed to review and update knowledge and skills of the BLS provider.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Recertification 

Prerequisites: Current PALS Provider card
A 7-hour lecture, discussion and skill station designed to review and update knowledge, and skills on the PALS provider.
