GED Official Practice Test (OPT)
Before you spend $70 on the real thing, let the Adult Education Center help determine GED readiness with a FREE, Official Practice Test.

The OPT is a half-length exam which means the actual exam has twice as many questions with twice as much time allotted. However, the questions are representative of what will be encountered on the actual exam.

The OPT, like the GED exam, has five components: Math, Language Arts reading, Language Arts Writing, Social Studies, and Science. Scores of 500 or above will recieve referrals to the VC Testing Center for actual testing. Scores below 500 will be referred for additional study or Adult Education Classes.

From May 29-August 17, 2007
The OPT is available Fridays beginning at 8:30 a.m. with the last seating time at 12:00 p.m.

From August 20-November 20, 2007
The OPT will be available Fridays beginning at 8:30 a.m. with the last seating time of 3:00 p.m.
and
Tuesdays beginning at 6:00 p.m. with the last seating time of 8:00 p.m.
