Victoria College’s Workforce & Continuing Education Department is offering a Nurse Aide program in Hallettsville. Classes begin Tuesday, June 28 at the Hallettsville School of Nursing in Hallettsville.

Students who enroll in the program will attend class or clinical every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. through August 4.

“Job demand for nurse aides in the Hallettsville region continues to increase, and there are current job openings in several facilities,” said Marilyn Powell, coordinator for VC’s allied health continuing education.

The Nurse Aide Program prepares students for entry level nursing assistance and provides a level of knowledge, skills and abilities essential to provide basic care to residents of long-term care facilities. Those who complete the Nurse Aide program will be eligible to take the Texas Nurse Aide Registry Exam to become a nurse aide. The total program cost is $225.
