9-21-11 - Shots fired on campus; campus secured

Shots were fired on Victoria College’s main campus today, September 21, 2011, shortly after 4 p.m. Campus police and security, as well as local law enforcement officers responded immediately. No one was hurt and a suspect has been apprehended.

VC faculty, staff and students were notified of the incident via the College's Emergency Alert System. The campus was on lockdown for just over an hour before law enforcement officials gave the all-clear.

Classes will resume as scheduled, but the Sports Center will be closed for investigation.
