Publication offers career and educational information

Victoria College recently issued another edition of CareerFocus magazine will be received in homes throughout the area this week. CareerFocus provides feature articles and information on career and educational topics most relevant in the Crossroads region, including Calhoun, DeWitt, Goliad, Gonzales, Jackson, Lavaca, Refugio and Victoria counties.

The career toolbox section offers articles about local in-demand career choices along with tips on how a professional network can help job-seekers.

CareerFocus also provides articles and information highlighting VC’s programs and educational options. This issue’s focus on college includes information about how to get started in a new career quickly and then continue to layer on education part time while working. Other topics include information on VC’s Workforce and Continuing Education career options, including VC’s nurse aide training, along with success stories from both a VC student and graduate.

There is also an entire A to Z list of all the programs offered at VC, what each program prepares graduates for, and a current estimated salary range typical in that field for this area.

CareerFocus magazine is a free publication from Victoria College and serves as a resource aimed at helping students and workers in the Crossroads area plan and prepare for the future.
