Event will showcase education offerings at Victoria College Calhoun County Center

Marilyn Powell, VC Workforce and Continuing Education's Allied Health Coordinator, will be on hand to answer questions about Nurse Aide or Phlebotomy training.
Future students, parents, current students and the community are all invited to attend an Information Night at VC’s Calhoun County Center on Tuesday, Oct. 23 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Students and their parents will have the opportunity to explore VC’s certificate and degree programs at the Center, along with workforce training, adult education, student services and transfer options—all at one event.

Attendees can get information regarding:

  • Admissions and registration
  • Academic advising
  • Workforce and continuing education
  • Certificates and associate degrees
  • Transfer opportunities
  • Financial aid and scholarships
  • Testing requirements
  • Tutoring services
  • Student activities
  • Adult education (ESL, GED)

Participants are encouraged to take a guided tour of the Center. Information booths will feature hands-on displays and demonstrations of VC’s state-of-the-art lab equipment, including simulation mannequins, special tools, models and other technical equipment.

Refreshments will be provided along with door prizes and a drawing for two scholarships.
