Irish choral music concerts presented May 2-3

A free concert of Irish choral music will be presented by the Victoria College Choir and the Victoria Civic Chorus at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 2 and again at 7:30 p.m., Friday, May 3 in the Johnson Symposium Center on Victoria College’s Main Campus.

The choir, under the direction of VC Music Professor Dr. Marylynn Fletcher, will sing Irish folk songs arranged by Alice Parker, including “The Minstrel Boy,” “I Know Where I’m Going,” and “Wearin’ of the Green.” 

dmission is free but tickets are required. Seating is limited. To reserve tickets for either performance, go to formstack.com/forms/VictoriaCollege-Tickets or call (361)-572-6425.

Tickets may be picked up at the will call table beginning at 6:30 p.m. the evening of the concert.  The doors will open for ticket holders at 6:45 p.m. Unclaimed seats will be released to individuals without tickets at 7:15 p.m.
