Activity book available to fourth-grade visitors to the Museum of the Coastal Bend

The Museum of the Coastal Bend, located on Victoria College’s Main Campus, is offering the look-think-do activity book “Inside the Museum of the Coastal Bend” to fourth-graders in school groups who tour the museum during the 2013-14 school year. Production of the book has been funded by a grant from The Junior League of Victoria, Texas, Inc. and will be distributed free of charge.

The book was written and illustrated by Jill Englebright Fox, PhD to reinforce knowledge gained during students’ museum visit in correlation with curriculum standards.

The activity book’s content, both text and drawings, are designed to be friendly and helpful to a wide audience. Children are encouraged to complete the activities in partnership with an adult to foster familial relationships including grandparents, foster parents, guardians, and older siblings.

A limited number of books are also available for purchase in the museum’s store for $3 each.

For more information on the books, contact Sue Prudhomme at (361) 582-2436 or email Sue.Prudhomme@VictoriaCollege.edu.
