Furry friends help relieve test anxiety for VC students

Victora College student Brooke Osborne cuddles a Jack Russell terrier during the Furry Friends for Finals event at the VC Sports Center atrium. Three dogs from the Dorothy H. O’Connor Pet Adoption Center visited the campus on Thursday to help VC students relieve anxieties about final exams. The cute critters are among the 40 cats and dogs at the center available for adoption. For more information on the Pet Adoption Center, call (361) 575-8573 or visit docpac.net.  Osborne said the event achieved its goal and took her mind off finals, if only for a little while. “It was fun; I enjoyed spending time with the dogs,” she said. “I definitely bonded with them.”
