VC art exhibit, ‘Reconfigured Spaces,’ opens March 17

Cathleen Gordon

An exhibit of paintings and mixed media will be on display beginning Monday, March 17 in the Victoria College Fine Arts Gallery, located in VC’s Fine Arts Building. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

“Reconfigured Spaces” is a collection of work done by artist Cathleen Gordon since she joined VC as an art instructor in August 2013. An exhibit reception, open to the public, will be held from 4-6 p.m. on March 17 in the Fine Arts Building, located on VC’s Main Campus, 2200 E. Red River St.

“This is my introduction to the public and to share with them some of the work I’ve done since I’ve been here at Victoria College,” Gordon said. “The title reflects that work and is a metaphor for the reconfigured spaces since I’ve moved.”

The exhibit will be open from noon-5 p.m. Tuesdays-Fridays through April 4.
