U.S. Air Force Band of the West ensemble to perform March 22

The U.S. Air Force Band of the West returns to Victoria with its Brass in Blue ensemble to play in concert at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 22. Hosted by Victoria College, the performance will be in the Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts, 214 N. Main St. in Victoria. The concert is free and open to the public, and tickets are not required.

The newest performing ensemble in the Band of the West, Brass in Blue combines the sounds of brass, percussion and vocals in a flexible group presenting a variety of music including traditional military marches, symphonic masterpieces, Jazz and Broadway show tunes.

Whether performing in a military ceremony, for troop morale events, educational or public concerts, Brass in Blue represents more than 300,000 Air Force professionals to the American public. It showcases the excellence these airmen bring to the mission every day at home station and at deployed locations around the globe.
