Seven students complete VCs new Physical Therapy Aide Program

Seven students recently completed Victoria College’s new Physical Therapy Aide Program. Offered through VC’s Workforce & Continuing Education Department, the program includes lectures and clinical components and awards 64 contact hours. Students learned how to administer active or passive therapeutic exercises, assist with gait training, position patients and safely transport patients under the direction of a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant. Physical therapist aides in the Crossroads area earn an average of $20,000 a year and can make as much as $28,000 annually. Seated from left are: Silvey Estrada, Jamie Sandoval and Zachary Robinson.
