Area residents considering college can learn about Victoria College programs, training opportunities and services during Victoria College Info Night from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 23 in VC’s Health Sciences Center, 2200 E. Red River St.

This annual event offers information about VC programs, transfer pathways, the admissions process, student services, resources, organizations and more, all in one location. VC faculty and staff will be available to answer questions about specific programs and departments.

Students will also be able to complete an application for admission and receive assistance with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at the event. To complete the FAFSA, students will need their Social Security number and alien registration card (if applicable), 2013 and 2014 tax returns, or other documentation of income.

Participants can also attend Q&A sessions for high-demand programs that have special admissions requirements, including:

  • Associate Degree Nursing
  • Physical Therapist Assistant
  • Vocational Nursing

“This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals who want to attend college but are not sure where to start,” said Darin Kazmir, VC director of Marketing & Communications. “Whether you’re thinking about transferring to a university or getting trained in the skills you need for a good-paying career, we encourage you to attend this event to learn about how your hometown college can help you reach your goals.”

Students are invited to bring family members and friends to Victoria College Info Night. Refreshments will be served and door prizes will be awarded.
