Residents can learn about nursing program opportunities in Hallettsville

Victoria College’s Vocational Nursing Program in Hallettsville will host an Information Night on Thursday, May 7 for prospective students to learn more about the program.

The event will be held from 6:30- 8 p.m. at the Zelda L. Allen School of Nursing, 1410 North Texana St. in Hallettsville.

Hallettsville Vocational Nursing Program faculty and staff will be on hand to share information and answer questions about the program. Representatives from VC’s Financial Aid Office, as well as Workforce Solutions Golden Crescent, will also be available.

Information offered during the event will include:

  • Discussions on nursing as a career
  • The VN Program application process
  • New prerequisites for the VN Program
  • The new nursing pathway in which VN Program graduates can bridge to the Associate Degree Nursing Program and become an RN in in one year
  • Cost and expenses of the program
  • Financial aid options and application instructions

“Prospective applicants will have their questions answered regarding how to apply and get into the program and how they can pay for it,” said Tricia Grahmann, VN administrative assistant. “They will then be able to make informed decisions on reaching their goals to become a nurse.”
