Nursing program featured at Cuero Information Night

Prospective students can learn more about Victoria College’s Vocational Nursing Program in Cuero during an Information Night on Wednesday, May 20. The event will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Vocational Nursing Program-Cuero, 2550 N. Esplanade St., behind Cuero Community Hospital in Cuero.

Nursing instructors Elaine Savoie and Patrick Thiry will be available to share information and answer questions about the program. Representatives from VC’s Financial Aid office, as well as Workforce Solutions Golden Crescent, will also be available.

“This event will provide prospective students with the opportunity to ask questions and help them get started on the path to becoming a nurse,” Savoie said.

Information available during the event includes:

  • Discussions on nursing as a career
  • The VN Program application process
  • New prerequisites for the VN Program
  • The new nursing pathway in which VN Program graduates can bridge to the Associate Degree Nursing Program and become an RN in one year
  • Cost and expenses of the program
  • Financial aid options and application instructions
