Magazine features VCs new Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Program

Victoria College’s new issue of CareerFocus magazine has arrived in Crossroads-area homes and is available at various VC locations.

The new issue features VC’s Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Program, which will open this fall at the new Emerging Technology Complex. Other programs highlighted include medical coding, emergency medical services and business management, and a feature on college lingo is a must-read for students considering college, and their families.

Readers can also learn more about the Liberty Academy Early College Center and nine students who recently earned an associate degree from Victoria College  and their high school diploma at the same time. Another story on VC’s dual credit classes explains how students can get an educational head start on their peers by taking college courses while still in high school.

Published twice a year, CareerFocus is a free publication from Victoria College that serves as a resource to help students and residents in the Crossroads plan and prepare for the future. Each issue features an A-Z listing of the programs and courses offered at VC, as well as careers in each of the corresponding fields. Salary ranges and estimated job growth are also included.

Free copies of the magazine are available at VC’s Emerging Technology Complex and the VC/UHV Library. The publication is also sent to high schools, libraries, workforce centers, chambers of commerce and business locations throughout the Crossroads region. A digital version can be viewed online at CareerFocusVC.com.
