VC nursing program opportunities shared in Hallettsville

Residents  considering a career in nursing are invited to attend Victoria College’s Vocational Nursing Program Information Night in Hallettsville on Wednesday, Aug. 5. This free event will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Zelda L. Allen School of Nursing, 1410 North Texana St. in Hallettsville.

Vocational Nursing Program faculty and staff will present information and answer questions about the program. Representatives from VC’s Financial Aid Office, as well as Workforce Solutions Golden Crescent, will also be on hand.

Information offered during the event will include:

  • Discussions on nursing as a career
  • The VN Program application process
  • New prerequisites for the VN Program
  • The new nursing pathway in which VN Program graduates can bridge to the Associate Degree Nursing Program and become an RN in one year
  • Cost and expenses of the program
  • Financial aid options and application instructions

“The faculty and staff in Victoria College’s Vocational Nursing Program are excited to share information regarding the application process, curriculum changes, and the nursing pathway to become an RN,” said Patricia Grahmann, VN administrative assistant. “Individuals interested in nursing should attend this informative session and learn how to begin their journey to become a nurse.”
