VC to hold Vocational Nursing Program information nights

Victoria College will hold three information nights this month for anyone interested in the Vocational Nursing Program in Cuero, Victoria or Gonzales.

The information nights, which are free and open to the public, will be held:

  • in Cuero on Monday, Sept. 21 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Vocational Nursing Program located at the Cuero Community Hospital, 2550 N. Esplanade St.
  • in Victoria on Tuesday, Sept. 22  from 6-7:30 p.m. in Room 132 of the Health Sciences Center on VC’s Main Campus, 2200 E. Red River St.
  • in Gonzales on Thursday, Sept. 24 from 6-7:30 p.m. in Room 119 of VC's Gonzales Center, 424 E. Sarah DeWitt St.

Prospective applicants attending the events will receive information on prerequisite and curriculum changes, admission requirements, estimated tuition and fees, and financial assistance.

“Information nights are held at three locations to make it convenient for Crossroads residents to attend,” said Joyce Harper, VN Program chair and instructor. “There have been many changes in the VN Program for the 2016-17 academic year. Some of the prerequisites will make it easier for the VN graduates to transition into the Associate Degree Nursing Program if they desire.”
