Adult Education orientation held for DeWitt, Goliad county residents

Goliad and Dewitt county residents do not have to go far to learn about adult education opportunities offered by Victoria College. VC’s Adult Basic Education program will hold orientation sessions in Cuero, Goliad and Yorktown.

Orientation sessions will be held in:

  • Cuero at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21 and Tuesday, Dec. 1 at the Cuero Public Library, 207 E. Main St.
  • Goliad at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14 and Wednesday, Nov. 11 at the Goliad High School Pride Room (behind the stadium), 749 N. Church.
  • Yorktown at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21 and Tuesday, Dec. 1 at the Yorktown Public Library, 103 W. Main.

The orientation sessions will consist of an overview of the program, including hours needed to complete progress testing, pathways and college transition course information, steps to earning a GED, and learning the English language.

Individuals interested in attending an orientation session can complete an application in advance at VictoriaCollege.edu/AdultEducation#Application. The application can also be completed at the session.
