Victoria College to host EMS open house Thursday
EMS Program
Students in VCs Emergency Medical Services Program work at a skills station.

Victoria College’s Emergency Medical Services Program will host an open house on Thursday, Oct. 22 from 2-3 p.m. in VC’s Allied Health Building, Room 109.

“We are grateful to the community for its continuous support of the Emergency Medical Services Program,” said Susie Jechow, EMS coordinator. “The ongoing support allows our EMS students to participate in hands-on skills stations, including an in-class mock ambulance project.”

The mock ambulance’s lights, suction, oxygen and cot mount were all funded by the VC Foundation.

Open house attendees can see the mock ambulance and participate in several skills stations such as medication administration, airway and ventilation, and needle chest decompression.

The open house is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Linda Soto at (361) 572-6426 or email Linda.Soto@VictoriaCollege.edu.
