Victoria College will hold a nursing information session for those interested in VC’s Vocational Nursing Program on Monday, Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. at the Vocational Nursing Program in Cuero, 2550 N. Esplanade, behind the Cuero Community Hospital. Information on the application process, requirements of the VN Program and financial aid will be provided.

Vocational nursing graduates are supervised by registered nurses or doctors as they provide basic bedside care and promote preventative health measures. They may also give patients medication or injections, run tests, check routine vital signs, insert/monitor catheters and aid in other simple medical procedures.

An information session on VC’s Physical Therapist Assistant Program will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16 in the Health Sciences Center, Room 131, located on VC’s Main Campus. The session will provide information about the PTA Program and admissions requirements.

Physical therapist assistants provide physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist. PTAs help people of all ages who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their ability to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives.
