VC Spring Carnival features Easter egg hunt, games
Spring Carnival
Children scramble to pick up as many plastic eggs as they can find in VCs Easter Egg Hunt at the annual Spring Carnival in 2015.

Victoria College’s annual Spring Carnival and Easter Egg Hunt will be held Wednesday, March 23 from 5-7 p.m. in the VC Quad area.

Hosted by Victoria College’s Student Activities Office, the carnival will feature booths and games such as bean bag toss, sack races, a duck pond, face painting, egg toss, egg BLASTER, confetti eggs and bunny bowling.

The Easter Egg Hunt, which is free and open to the public, begins at 5:45 p.m., with separate sections for younger and older children. Children up to 13 years old can compete in the egg hunt.

“This year we are pleased to have the Texas Department of Transportation on hand to check your child’s car seat to ensure it is strapped in correctly,” said Elaine Everett-Hensley, director of Student Activities.

Refreshments available at the carnival will include popcorn, snow cones, brownies, funnel cakes, pizza, pulled pork sliders, nachos and Frito pies.

There will be a charge for Spring Carnival booths, games, food and drinks. A portion of the carnival proceeds will benefit VC clubs and the Relay for Life of Victoria County event.

VC organizations participating in the event include the TRiO Club, Student Government Association, Associate Degree Nursing – Student Nurses Association, United Campus Ministry, International Society of Automation and Student Veterans Association.

Parking is available at Entrances 1 and 2 off Ben Jordan Street.
