Bonus concerts announced for Victoria’s 2016 Charity Concert Series

Two additional traditional country music concerts have been scheduled for the 2016 Charity Concert Series at the Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts in Victoria.

Moe Bandy will perform with opening act Allen Shamblin on Thursday, June 30, and Janie Fricke will perform on Thursday, Oct. 27.

Tickets are on sale to current season sponsors and subscribers, and will open for sale to the general public on June 2.

The 8th Annual Charity Concert Series opened on Jan. 14 with country music legend Johnny Bush. Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame members Mac Davis and Allen Shamblin performed the second concert of the series on Thursday, May 5, and Texas native Tracy Byrd will conclude the regular series of three concerts on Aug. 11.

The series benefits Bluebonnet Youth Ranch, the Victoria Lions Club and the Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts.

The regular and bonus performances in the series will be held at the Leo J. Welder Center located at 214 N. Main St. in downtown Victoria.

For the general public, individual tickets for the bonus concerts are priced at $50, with a $10 discount per concert if purchased as a package. Concert-goers are encouraged to purchase tickets early as tickets for all performances are limited.
