Academy for Lifelong Learning open house scheduled for Aug. 14
The Holiday Recipe Exchange is on the popular events each year during Victoria College’s Academy of Lifelong Learning fall activities.

Victoria College’s Academy for Lifelong Learning will hold its Fall 2016 open house on Sunday, Aug. 14 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts, 214 N. Main Street in Victoria.

The Academy for Lifelong Learning is a member-driven organization for active adults and offers classes and social activities for continued intellectual and personal growth.

"I am really excited about our fall schedule," said VC Academy for Lifelong Learning Program Specialist Ashley Lindsey. "We have such a diverse group of classes that everyone should find something that appeals to them. Our program is such a fun way to continue the process of learning as well as meet new friends and enjoy these experiences together."

Attendees will have the opportunity to view the fall schedule, join the Academy for Lifelong Learning and visit with some of the instructors. An annual fee of $50 entitles members to attend all courses and activities from fall to spring.

Some of the courses and activities available this fall include:

  • Field trip to study the Guadalupe River’s ecosystem
  • A Fresh Start to a Healthier You series
