VC to offer Brown Bag Lunch Series for business professionals

Victoria College will offer a Brown Bag Lunch Series in September, October and November for business professionals to expand their knowledge of Microsoft Excel, customer service and time management.

The series of three 90-minute instructional sessions will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Victoria College’s Emerging Technology Complex at 7403 Lone Tree Road.

A Microsoft Excel “Ninja” session will be held on Friday, Sept. 23 for those who have mastered the basic skills of the MS Office program and wish to take their productivity to the next level. The hands-on instruction will teach how to create “eye-catching” charts and utilize Excel’s data analysis and filtering tools. All materials will be provided.

“Johnny the Bagger: A True Story of Customer Service” will be presented on Friday, Oct. 21. The true story of a Down syndrome man who made a positive choice about his personal responsibility to provide quality customer service will be told during the session.

Time management will be the subject of the final Brown Bag event on Friday, Nov. 4. Tools to help find balance and allow professionals to achieve their goals and be more productive and efficient will be shared.

The cost for each session will be $25. Guests must bring their own lunches. Cookies will be provided.
