VC offering four Motorcycle Safety Courses

Victoria College will offer four Motorcycle Safety Courses from October through December.

The first course will be offered Oct. 14-16 at VC’s Emerging Technology Complex located at 7403 Lone Tree Road. Classes are from 6-10 p.m. on Fridays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays. The cost for the course is $235. Motorcycles will be provided.

The other courses will be held on Oct. 21-23, Nov. 11-13 and Dec. 2-4.

Beginning and experienced riders can benefit from the course, which covers advanced physical and mental skills required to operate a motorcycle safely. Students will also learn defensive street-riding strategies.

After completing the course, students will be issued an MSB-8 certificate, which should satisfy the Texas Department of Public Safety’s written and driving examinations.

Students must provide a helmet.
