Physical therapist assistant information session scheduled for Oct. 10 at VC

Victoria College will host a Physical Therapist Assistant Information Session at 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 10 at VC’s Health Science Center.

The session will include information on prerequisite and curriculum changes, admission and course requirements, estimated tuition and fees and financial assistance. Attendees will also gain information on the application process.

“This is a general information session for those who might have an interest in physical therapy profession,” said VC PTA Program Director Laura Crandall. “There is still a shortage of PTAs across the country and this information session is a great opportunity for students to find out if they would to pursue this profession.”

Physical therapy assistants provide services under a licensed physical therapist. PTAs work in a various settings, including hospitals, private practices, outpatient clinics, home health, nursing homes, schools and sports facilities.
