About 70 Victoria College students and employees participated in the inaugural Pirate Olympics on Oct. 12-18.

The event, created to promote interaction among students and employees, featured six teams competing in a Frisbee throw, water balloon toss, three-legged race, toss ball tournament, Nerf gun competition, horseshoes, washers and tug-of-war.

“It was a great opportunity for students, faculty, staff and employees to get to know each other,” VC Director of Student Activities Elaine Everett-Hensley said. “We are already looking to grow next year and possibly add more events.”

The Unicorns on Steroids took first place in the team standings. The Scallywags & Scoundrels finished second and Chiptonia was third.
