Holiday Artisans Market
Hand-crafted items like these will be available during the Museum of the Coastal Bendís Holiday Artisans Market on Dec. 8.

Unique holiday items and gifts hand-crafted by regional artisans will be featured at the Museum of the Coastal Bend’s annual Holiday Artisans Market on Thursday, Dec. 8 from 2 to 6 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Ten percent of the artisans’ sales will be donated to the museum.

“We are scheduled to have 16 artisans this year,” said Sue Prudhomme, VC’s executive director of cultural affairs. “This is an excellent opportunity for shoppers to find unique, hand-crafted holiday gifts or items for themselves.”

Seasonal plants, metal décor, hand-crafted glass, paintings, jellies, jams, seasonings, quilts and jewelry will be among the items available at the event.

Most of the artisans will be crafting their items during the event. There will also be demonstrations in glass blowing and blacksmithing. The Goliad Brewing Company will be offering samples from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

The Museum of the Coastal Bend is located at 2200 E. Red River Street on Victoria College’s Main Campus.
