VC offering three-part Leadership Series through April

Victoria College is partnering with Development Dimensions International (DDI) to present a three-part Leadership Series to be held the first Thursday of every month through April.

The series, which will be held in Room 302 at VC’s Emerging Technology Complex, will focus on assisting organizations in leadership development, leadership selection, succession management, execution and performance.

Each session will be from 8 a.m. to noon. The cost for each session is $115.

“This series will prove very beneficial and is a great investment of time for those holding leadership roles in business and other areas,” VC Workforce and Continuing Education Program Coordinator Mary Pullin said. “In just 12 hours, supervisors and others holding leadership roles can gain valuable insight on how to maintain efficiency and harmony in the workplace.”

“Essentials of Leadership” will kick off the series on Feb. 2 and is the prerequisite for the other two courses. The foundation course will teach leaders how to get results through people and build strong working relationships.

The series will continue on March 2 with “Adaptive Leadership.” The course will teach how employees require varying motivational styles and tactics. Leaders will also learn how to enhance the effectiveness of their interactions to create higher levels of engagement and organizational results.

The final session, “Resolving Conflict,” will be held on April 6. The course will instruct leaders how to recognize signs of conflict in the workplace and choose the appropriate level of involvement to help resolve the issue. “Adaptive Leadership” is the prerequisite for “Resolving Conflict.”

VC’s Emerging Technology Complex is located at 7403 Lone Tree Road in Victoria.
