The second week of Victoria College’s “Two-Week Transfer Fair” is scheduled for April 3-6 in Room 106 of VC’s Student Services Building.

Each session will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“This is a great opportunity for VC students to gather all the information they need from major universities without having to travel too far,” said VC Academic Advisor Sonia Herrera. “There will be refreshments and door prizes.”

Herrera said the fair was moved from one to two weeks so students would have a better opportunity to attend.

“They also have a more comfortable setting that allows a few schools to be here at once,” Herrera said. “It allows the students to ask more questions one-on-one and not feel like they are taking up too much of a recruiter’s time in a more crowded atmosphere.”

Over 50 Victoria College students had visited with representatives from Stephen F. Austin University, Sam Houston State University, Texas Tech University, University of Texas at San Antonio, University of Houston-Victoria, Texas A&M University and University of Houston during the fair’s first three days on March 20-22.

Representatives from Texas A&M University, Grand Canyon University and The University of Texas at Austin will be on campus Monday, April 3. On Tuesday, April 4, Texas A&M University-San Antonio, University of Houston-Victoria, Texas State University and Texas A&M University-Kingsville will be providing information booths.

Victoria College’s Welding Program, VC's Continuing Education Department and UHV will have representatives at the Student Services Building on Wednesday, April 5, and VC’s Criminal Justice Program, Law Enforcement Academy, Computer Information Systems Program, and Allied Health Continuing Education Department as well as UHV's Kinesiology Program will be at the fair on Thursday, April 6.
