Hands-On History

Adults and children will have the opportunity to partake in an interactive learning event at the Museum of the Coastal Bend when it presents “Hands-On History: Cattle Drive” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 8.

“Visitors will be able to learn the basics of the cattle industry in Texas and take part in a brand scavenger hunt,” said Sue Prudhomme, Victoria College’s executive director of cultural affairs. “Ranchers will also be able to participate by bringing their branding irons, which we will use to burn an impression on a panel to become a part of the museum’s brand exhibit.”

Admission to the museum is “pay-what-you-want.”

The Museum of the Coastal Bend is located on the Victoria College campus at 2200 E. Red River Street in Victoria.
