Pirates capture TCCSL title with victory over Northwest Vista College

SAN ANTONIO – Victoria East graduate Casey Jackson scored 22 points and Victoria West grad Morgan Trevino added 16 to lead the Victoria College Pirates to a 75-59 win over Northwest Vista College in Saturday’s championship game of the Texas Collegiate Club Sports League Tournament at the University of the Incarnate Word.


Jackson, who was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player, tallied 16 points in a 75-49 semifinal victory over St. Phillip’s College. Trevino led all scorers with 27 points.


In the men’s tournament, Victoria College fell 99-94 to Southwest Texas Junior College in the semifinals. Randy Perales (Corpus Christi King) had 38 points for the Pirates.
