Museum to host Spring 2017 Artisans Market on May 4

Hand-crafted items will be on sale during the Museum of the Coastal Bendís Spring 2017 Artisans Market on Thursday, May 4.

Vendors from throughout the region will showcase their hand-crafted items at the Museum of the Coastal Bend’s Spring 2017 Artisans Market from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 4.

The event is free and open to the public.       

“This will be a great opportunity to find unique gift items for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and graduates,” said Sue Prudhomme, Victoria College’s executive director of cultural affairs. “Museum of the Coastal Bend members will also receive a 10 percent discount with participating vendors.”

  • Preserves by Crossroads Homemade Goodies
  • Fabric wine bags by Das Buehler Haus
  • Ceramics from Victoria College’s Dirt Nerds
  • Hand-blown glass by Doc Roberts Glass
  • Fused glass and metal jewelry by Glass Creations
  • Welded metal by M.C. Welding-Macek Construction
  • Handmade paper floral by Paper Perfect Petals
  • Forged metal by Placedo Blacksmith Shop
  • Goats milk soap and lotions by Red Yucca Farm
  • Artisan jewelry by Seditious Seraphim
  • Alpaca wool items by Shear Bliss Alpacas
  • Turned wood bowls and pens by South Texas Woodturners
  • Handcrafted knives by T&L Blade Company

Goliad Brewing Company will provide a seasonal beer tasting from 2 to 6 p.m.

The Museum of the Coastal Bend is located on the campus of Victoria College at 2200 E. Red River Street and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
