Seventeen obtain Paramedic Certificates at Victoria College
Paramedic Grads
Fifteen students were honored on May 13 after earning their Paramedic Certificates from Victoria College’s Emergency Medical Services Program.

Victoria College’s Emergency Medical Services Program recognized 15 students who completed the three-semester paramedic training at a ceremony on May 13 at the Victoria Fire Station No. 3 on Miori Street.

Following two semesters of clinicals in hospital departments and EMS, students participated in 240 hours of EMS as a lead medic, successfully completed National Registry psychomotor testing and are eligible for the National Registry examination.

The 17 graduates were Hayley Allen, Jesse Bishop, Jessica Castillo, Darrin Driskill, Denver Eichler, Jacob Hanks, Lane Larson, Kurtiss Lindsey, Weston Martin, Johnathan Novella, Jessica Rangel, Rachel Rings, Dina Salazar, Andrew Sherman, Brittany Tesch, James White and J. Orlando Zepeda.

Larson was named class valedictorian and Driskill was named class salutatorian. Novella earned the “Best In Skills Award” and Rangel received the “Best In Clinic Award.”

Martin was the recipient of the J. Alan Baker Award, which is selected by the students and awarded to the best all-around student who not only mastered the content of the course, but also displayed integrity, teamwork and service.
