Victoria College will begin offering an Introduction to Engineering course during the Fall 2017 semester.

ENGR 1201 will be taught on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 to 8:50 a.m. Victoria College Math Instructor Deborah Pedraza will be teaching the class.

“We are very excited to be able to offer an engineering course here at VC, with more planned in the future,” said Victoria College Mathematics Department Chair Melanie Yosko. “Many of our students want to be engineers, and we’ve had many inquiries about engineering classes in the past.”

The class will serve as an introduction to the engineering profession with emphasis on technical communication and team-based engineering design. Students will apply basic concepts of physics as part of engineering fundamentals that include statics, dynamics, thermodynamics and circuits.

For more information on the class, call (361) 573-3291 or email Melanie.Yosko@VictoriaCollege.edu.
