COMPETITIVE SEALED PROPOSAL
FINE ARTS CENTER INTERIOR RENOVATION

Victoria College will receive Competitive Sealed Proposals for Fine Arts Center Interior Renovation, until 2:00 PM on Monday, May 1, 2017.  Proposals will be received by Lydia Huber, Room 103, Academic Building, 2200 East Red River, Victoria, Texas 77901, and will be then opened and read aloud in Conference Room 101.  Formal action on Proposals will be considered at a future meeting of the Board of Trustees.

Proposals received after the stated time and date above will be returned to the proposers  unopened.

Proposals shall be based on lump sum fixed pricing and must include all materials, labor, permits, fees, bonds and insurance.

A pre-proposal conference will be held at 3:30 PM, Monday, April 24, 2017 in Room 101 of the Academic Building, 2200 East Red River, Victoria, Texas 77901.  Attendance is strongly encouraged, but not mandatory.  Work locations will be made available for viewing during meeting.

Printed copies of proposal documents may be obtained by contracting the architect, Rawley McCoy & Associates, PLLC, 1908 N. Laurent, Suite 540, Victoria, Texas 77901, telephone 361-573-1642.  Hard copies of documents may be obtained for a refundable deposit of $200.00 per set.  Checks for deposits shall be made payable to the architect.  Architect can also provide a PDF copy of the bid documents on a CD for $15.00 (non-refundable fee).

All proposals equal to or greater than $25,000 including any additive alternates, must be accompanied by proposal security in the form of a cashier's check, certified check or proposal bond.  Prevailing wage rates published in the proposal documents must be paid on this project.

Four (4) separate proposals are requested for the work as follows [Note:  proposers are not required to submit for all items]:

  1. Interior demolition work; concrete floor grinding / leveling / topping [prep for new flooring]; finish flooring / base
  2. Gyp. board / furring / mud, tale & float [Level 5 finish].
  3. Painting / total re-finished wood & metal doors and door frames.
  4. Acoustical ceiling work

No proposals may be withdrawn for a period of 30 days subsequent to the opening of the proposals without consent of Victoria College. All proposal securities will be retained until contracts have been awarded and executed, but no longer than 30 days.

Victoria College reserves the right to reject and and/or all proposals and to accept any proposal deemed by the College as being the most beneficial to the College, and to waive all formalities in proposal process.
