John Davis
John Davis, an avid motorcyclist, currently rides a 2007 Vulcan 500 Ltd, with dreams of buying a Ninja ZX14R. John plans to get certified to race in the 250Cc Ninja Racing circuit through the CMRA.
John graduated from the University of Houston Victoria in 2006 with a BBA in accounting and now works at the as the accountant for the Office of Financial Aid at UHV. John enjoys being a part of the community, is a member of Victoria's newly formed Chess Club, and is a supporter of the UHV Jaguars. Being part of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation family is just one more way of contributing to the community, and he hopes to ride safely for many years to come.
Stephen Fuhrman
A native Victorian, Stephen Fuhrman has been riding motorcycles for about 40 years. He started out on a 1969 Honda Z-50 Mini-Trail and now rides a 1994 Honda Gold Wing. Stephen became a RiderCoach in 2007, and he enjoys teaching because it fulfills his passion for being on and around motorcycles while helping others become responsible motorcyclists "so they too can enjoy the ride."
Stephen earned his Bachelor's Degree in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin and works as an Environmental-Health-Safety technician for Dow Chemical.
Michael Melanson
Michael Melanson has been a ridercoach since 2007 with over 25 years of riding experience. He is currently certified to teach the basic riding course (BRC) for beginners, experienced riding course (ERC), and the USAF sportbike course. He has a national certification with endorsements to teach in Texas, Georgia, and for the Department of Defense.
A native Texan, Michael is retired from the military as of 2011. He is a motorcycle mechanic with experience on two AMA pro race teams and one amateur race team under WERA. Michael loves to race motorcycles whether it is on the drag strip or the track. He also loves to ride long distance on the right bike. He currently owns a variety of motorcycles.
Michael began teaching to share his knowledge of motorcycles and loves nothing more than to see someone "get it" during the course. "A proficient rider is a happy rider!"
