Award-winning investigative reporter Rick Shenkman will speak on Monday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. at the Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts. Shenkman's topic is, “Election 2012, Presidential Politics & American Myths”

Editor and founder of the History News Network, Shenkman is also a New York Times best-selling author of five history books, including Legends, Lies and Cherished Myths of American History. He also appears regularly as a commentator on Fox News, CNN, and MSNBC.

Shenkman is the first of four speakers of the 2012-2013 VC Lyceum Lecture Series.
