Meteorologist Reed Timmer will speak on Thursday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. at the VISD Fine Arts Center. His topic is, "Extreme Storm Chasing."
One of the world’s most successful storm-chasers,
Timmer has intercepted over 250 tornadoes and a dozen powerful hurricanes
during the last decade. He is one of the few people in the world to document
both an F5 tornado and the most devastating hurricane in U.S. history—Hurricane
Katrina.
Timmer is the second of four speakers of the 2012-2013 VC Lyceum Lecture Series.
