Mechanical Technology

Industrial Maintenance Mechanics install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and replace factory equipment and other industrial machinery, such as conveying systems, production machinery, and packaging equipment. Industrial Maintenance Mechanics install, dismantle, repair, reassemble, and move machinery in factories, various industrial plants, power plants, and construction sites. They may work in a variety of industries, such as manufacturing, power generation, petrochemical, oil and gas, food and beverage processing, and many others.

You may also choose to combine a certificate or the AAS degree with the core curriculum and then transfer to a four year university to pursue a bachelor's degree. In addition to these degree and certificate programs, VC's Workforce & Continuing Education Department also offers a number of Industrial Training courses.
