VC’s Workforce & Continuing Education Department offers two levels of millwright training courses that will prepare students for a career as a millwright.

Millwrights assemble, maintain, and disassemble machinery in factories and other industrial settings. Successful completion of the 16-week introductory course will prepare you to continue to the second level or begin working in an entry-level millwright position.

Millwright courses are taught by experienced professionals. Illustrated instructional materials and structured classroom activities include:

• Fasteners and anchors
• Intermediate trade math
• Field sketching
• Intermediate blueprint reading
• Specialty tools
• Millwright power tools
