Victoria College honored 23 graduates from its Students Accelerating through Integrated Learning (SAIL) Adult Education Program on Dec. 15 during a ceremony at VC’s Emerging Technology Complex.
SAIL training allows students to improve their basic education skills while at the same time enrolled in workforce training classes at Victoria College. Students who complete the training with a certification simultaneously work to obtain their GED.
SAIL graduates pursuing certificates in Business Management were Iryna Bieda, Ciera Bubenik, Elvitz Esparza, Gabrielle Jaime, Carlos Laguna, Dillon McDaniel, Princess Onumah, Sarai Resendez, Jose Joel Rosas, Isela Vargas, Taosha Williams, Marysol Yanez and Amy Zarate.
Receiving Workforce & Continuing Education Office Management Certificates were Christina Chavez, Annette Gaona, Crystal Macias, Shayla Morgan, Jasmine Rodriguez, April Rosales, Suzanne Salinas, Laura Santiago and Yelile Villalon. Leann Gonzalez received a Nurse Aide Certificate.
McDaniel was named the recipient of the Distinguished Student Award.
Golden Crescent Workforce Development Board President Chester Sackett and Golden Crescent Workforce Development Director of Business Services Mike Milson were the guest speakers.
