The Museum of the Coastal Bend will host “Merriwether’s Foraging Workshop” from 8 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20.
The workshop will be followed by Merriwether’s lecture on “Your Secret Garden: Surprising Edible (and Drinkable!) Landscape Plants” at 12:30 p.m. at the Museum of the Coastal Bend.
Advance registration is required and can be completed online at MuseumOfTheCoastalBend.org or in person at the Museum of the Coastal Bend. The cost is $40 for museum members and $45 for nonmembers.
Mark “Merriwether” Vorderbruggen, a research chemist and blogger for Foraging, will present a lecture and hands-on search for natural edible plants during nature walk at a location to be announced.
The Museum of the Coastal Bend is located on Victoria College’s Main Campus at 2200 E. Red River Street in Victoria. The museum is open Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is “pay-what-you-want.”
