Victoria College will host a Sexual Assault Awareness Workshop from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 12 at VC’s Johnson Symposium.
The event is free and open to the public. Marcela Gonzales, a sexual assault victim advocate with Mid-Coast Family Services, will make a presentation at the event.
“April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and this workshop will provide information on how to define sexual assault and inform attendees about prevention techniques and resources that are available,” said Victoria College Counselor Melanie Gerdes.
The Johnson Symposium is located in the Allied Health Building on Victoria College’s Main Campus at 2200 E. Red River Street. The Allied Health Building can be accessed at Entrances 7 and 8 off Red River Street.
